Operator Certification Resources

Here you will find everything you need to know about operator certification, from application requirements and deadlines to upcoming test dates, practice tests and study groups.

Info from SWRCB website – Operator Certification Information
There are five levels of operator certification (Grades I – V). To receive a certificate, you must meet the minimum experience and education requirements and pass a written test. Please refer to the Operator Certification Requirements for a summary of the experience and education necessary for each grade. For future exam dates and information please refer to the examination schedule. Please direct questions about specific education and experience to the Office of Operator Certification at: wwopcertprogram@waterboards.ca.gov

 When selecting a test location, and you live in Ventura County, choose the “Central Coast” location, as it takes place in Goleta, CA.

Study Groups 

Here are dates and times for student-led study groups, where we help each other prepare for Certification Exams coming up.


Water Treatment Exam
The next Operator Exam is for
Water Treatment Certification on Saturday, November 21, 2015
Our Study Groups will be meeting at the Table/BBQ Area behind the ECT Building at Ventura College
(Where most of our Water Science classes are held)

Tuesdays:  10 am – 11 am

Math Tutoring
Brush up on your Water Math, with one-on-one student tutors that know the tricks of the trade.
