Ventura College Water Science & Engineering Club
Who are we?
We are students at Ventura College that study Water and Wastewater Treatment practices and help prepare other students to graduate with an Associates Degree in either Water/Wastewater Sciences, and/or obtain their Operator Certification by the (California) State Water Resource Control Board.
Our Program offers 12 separate courses, 2 Certificates of Achievement, 2 Associate of Science Degrees, and prepares students for obtaining 5 different licenses.
What do we do?
We organize club activities and share info about upcoming community events, study groups, webinars, networking events, and an online jobs board for students to look for and apply to local water jobs. The blog on this site also keeps students updated on current Water in the News and offers the opportunity for students to network with each other and alumni in preparation for entering the Professional Water Industry.
Where are we located?
Ventura College is nestled in the foothills of San Buena Ventura, California with a beautiful coastline wrapping around the city and the Channel Islands floating in the distance. Our students and staff, however, come from all over Ventura County to study Water/Wastewater Sciences at VC, from Camarillo to Oxnard to Ojai to Santa Barbara, our coastal community is much larger than our city limits.
